Sub for Santa Fiji, 2016
Bula Vinaka and Vakanuinui Vinaka na Siga ni Sucu!
(Hello and Merry Christmas!)
I'm sorry I'm a bit late on the update, but I'm happy to say that our Sub for Santa 2016: Kadavu Edition went amazing!! There were 2 massive boxes full of shoes, toys, white shirts, ties, and various other clothes. Needless to say, the families LOVED it.
In figuring out how to divide up the gifts, I sat with the Branch Presidency and thought about all the families that are in need. Then we divided to each family as best we could according to size, amount of children, etc. In all, we helped 12 families have a Merry Christmas. In speaking with members the next couple weeks afterwards, ALL families were ecstatic, and even more amazingly, all the clothes and shoes fit perfectly! It was an amazing experience to hand all the presents out, especially to see the kids just DROOLING over the toys. It was perfect!
Thank you so much for all you did to help! I hope you feel the true meaning of Christmas (in January...;). Thank you for your Christ-like love and charity! On behalf of the families in Kadavu, Fiji, I would just like to say:
VINAKA VAKALEVU! KALOUGATA TIKO!
